Waste Management PlansWe prepare fully comprehensive Waste Management Plans for Agricultural Businesses. It is likely that these will be necessary for all agricultural holdings in the future. SEPA require Waste Management Plans for all new buildings which are related to animal housing and may also request a Waste Management Plan in areas which are highly sensitive to pollution such as ground on or around designated sites (SSSI's, SPA's etc). |

A Waste Management Plan can be of great benefit to the agricultural business as it often identifies areas of inefficiency and can help to determine future strategy and investments in waste treatment / storage facilities. At present most waste management projects would be eligible for grant assistance under ABDS or CCAGS we have been successful in gaining grant assistance for a number of our clients through these schemes. You can check out information on your legal obligations on the SEPA web site, The local office in Thurso is happy to give advice to farmers or crofters who are wishing to upgrade their present facilities or install new ones. |
